In September some of our St Joseph’s team managed to sneak a few hours off to celebrate the wonderful work and achievements of health care professionals within our region.
The awards ceremony was held at Birmingham Botanical Gardens and was hosted by Baroness Floella Benjamin. We were invited to attend by Embark Learning Care Academy and Fairways Homecare, who we work very closely with.
Our manager, Shelley, and deputy manager Annie, had been keeping a secret…our care lead, Pauline, was up for an award! Pauline won the prestigious ‘Longevity of Service’ award.
Pauline started her career in care 10 years ago working for Fairway and has developed and grown into the most caring and unbelievably dedicated health and social care professional that she is today.
The world needs more Paulines and St Joseph’s are extremely lucky to have Pauline as part of the team.
Well done Pauline! That award was very much deserved you go above and beyond for every resident, relative and staff member at St Joseph’s. You truly are invaluable to us and it’s amazing to have watched your journey from care assistant to wing manager.
Accept the amazing work you do being recognised, you are fabulous at your job and we at St Joseph’s appreciate everything you do
xx
Shelley Perryman, St Joseph’s manager
